Programme of Free Jazz concerts at The Royal Palace gardens in Madrid from July till August

On July 3rd, the esteemed "Jardines Campo del Moro" behind the royal palace commenced a series of high-level jazz concerts with complimentary admission. These gardens boast authentic medieval aesthetics and are a treasured secret among the locals. Last week, the jazz series inaugurated with a performance by Joseph Siankope and the New Orleans Dixieland Band. Later in the evening, "T.J. Jazz" evoked the spirit of Billie Holliday with a striking tribute that left the audience captivated.

The next day, Verónica Ferreiro and Javier Sánchez delivered a stunningly beautiful performance, showcasing their own compositions alongside a few covers that brought the audience to tears. The performance was so enthralling that even the birds in the gardens were singing along with the music.

And that's not all! On Saturday night, the audience was spellbound by the pianist Iván "Melon" Lewis and his band, who left them awe-struck with their perfectly integrated mix of rhythms and compositions.

This weekend, jazz fans can continue to enjoy these performances at the Royal Palace. However, due to the ongoing COVID crisis, the number of tickets available has been reduced to accommodate a maximum capacity of only 300 people, with seating options for only 104 attendees. To secure your spot, arrive at the Gardens at 6:00 p.m. and inquire with the staff about the location of the box office. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., tickets for the concert will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one per person.
